COURT RULES & REGULATIONS


General

The Club’s Pickleball facilities are intended for the exclusive use of Members, their Spouse/Significant Other, Club Employees and authorized Guests. These rules are established to ensure the enjoyment of all Members and their Guests. Members failing to comply with these rules are subject to payment of fees, suspension of privileges and/or fines. The Club’s Bylaws and General Rules shall govern and prevail over these Pickleball Rules.
 

Guests

Guest privileges and responsibilities in conjunction with the following:

  • Only Members, Members’ Spouses/Significant Others, Club Employees or other individuals sanctioned by the Board of Directors may invite Guests to use the Club’s Pickleball facilities.
  • Members must pay Guest fees ($10/day) for the extension of Club privileges to Guests and ensure their Guests are registered with the Club prior to using Pickleball facilities. Guest fees will apply year-round.
  • Members’ playing privileges have priority over Guests’ privileges. The Pickleball Professional shall ensure the priority of Members’ privileges.
  • Guests must be accompanied by the inviting Member.
  • No Guest shall be entitled to play more than six (6) times per year.
  • Members can invite up to three (3) Guests for any Pickleball event unless the event is a Member- Only event. Exceptions to this rule may be made by the Pickleball Professional.
 

Court Reservations/Registrations

  • Courts, play dates/times, play formats (e.g., open play/reserved play/other play) and the number of playing slots available will be determined by the Pickleball Professional.
  • Court Schedules will be posted in the Pool Guard Room, the Golf Pro Shop, and other locations as needed.
 

Reserved Courts

  1. Reservations -
    • Courts may be reserved up to forty-eight (48) hours in advance. All Member and Guest names must be provided when making reservations (if possible). Guest fees apply.
    • Reservations can be made by contacting the Pickleball Professional.
    • Players may reserve one and one half (1-1/2) hours court time for singles and two (2) hours for doubles. Players may make a second reservation only after expiration of the preceding reservation.
  2. Registration-
    • All players must register (in the Golf Proshop) before entering their reserved court for play.
    • Players arriving more than ten (10) minutes after their reservation start time risk forfeiture of their reserved court, as determined by the Pickleball Professional.

Minor’s Privileges

  • “Minors” are defined as Members’ children/grandchildren under the age of 18.
  • The Pickleball Professional is responsible for determining if players have adequate skills and knowledge to safely utilize Pickleball facilities and what playing restrictions, if any, may be required.
  • Minors at least 12 years of age and under 18 years of age may -
    • reserve courts twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Minors’ reservations shall have the same rights and priority as adults’ reservations.
    • use the Pickleball facilities without the Member or Spouse/Significant Other present.
  • Minors under 12 years of age -
    • Only Members or Spouses/Significant Others can make court reservations for Minor’s under 12 years of age.
    • Minors under 12 years of age may use Pickleball facilities only when accompanied by a Member or Spouse/Significant Other unless otherwise authorized by the Pickleball Professional.

 Employee Play

  • Employee must work a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week to be eligible for benefits.
  • Employees may use the Pickleball facilities only on dates/times approved by the General Manager.
  • The Pickleball Professional is responsible for determining if players have adequate skills and knowledge to safely utilize the Pickleball facilities and what restrictions, if any, may be required.
  • Employees may bring Guests subject to prior approval of the General Manager.
 

Dress Code

  • Proper Attire: -
    • Pickleball participants must wear proper attire reflecting the Club’s culture and traditions while addressing modern standards of Pickleball attire and style as seen in popular publications/shops.
    • Men must wear proper Pickleball attire including shorts/pants worn at the waistline, shirts with sleeves, suitable warmup suits and proper non-marking court footwear.
    • Women must wear proper Pickleball attire including dresses, shorts, collared or collarless shirts, suitable warm-up suits and proper non-marking court footwear.
    • All clothing must be neat, clean and worn in accordance with the Club’s Dress Code.
    • NO POOL SWIMWEAR IS PERMITTED.
    • All players must have proper footwear – bare feet, flip flops, sandals are NOT permitted.
The Pickleball Professionals along with the Aquatics Manager are charged with the responsibility to enforce the Dress Code on the facilities.
 

Food & Drink

  • Water, soft drinks, sports drinks, and energy snacks (e.g., fruit and energy bars) are permitted courtside outside the area of play.
  • No other food or drinks are permitted on the courts or at courtside except with prior permission of the General Manager.

Conduct

Proper etiquette and courtesy are required at all times and will be enforced by the Pickleball Professional or General Manager only.
 

Lessons

Professional lessons may only be conducted by the Club’s Pickleball Professional and their staff. Tips, helpful hints, and friendly pointers shared among Members and Guests are permitted.
 

Rules Posting

Copies of these Rules will be posted at the Golf Pro Shop, Pool Locker Rooms, on Clubster, and in other areas as needed.
 

Noise Level

Music is not allowed except with prior permission of the Pickleball Professional or Golf Professional. Cell Phones are prohibited on Pickleball courts; however, they are permitted in courtside areas outside the area of play..
 

Enforcement

These Rules shall be enforced in accordance with the Club’s Bylaws and General Rules.
